Whiplash

Whiplash is the most common neck injury reported after a car crash or motorcycle accident. Sports injuries, trips, and falls may also cause this problem. The force of the accident causes the neck vertebrae to be strained unnaturally. This force may damage the intervertebral discs, strain the neck’s tendons, muscles, ligaments and blood vessels, and lead to pinched nerves when the vertebrae are moved out of natural alignment.

R&R TIP:

The symptoms of whiplash often do not manifest themselves until hours or even days after the crash. This is why we urge anyone who has recently been a car crash, a motorcycle accident or any other accident, even if it seemed minor, to come in for a consultation and examination as soon as possible.
If you struggle with neck pain, headaches, back pain, fatigue, vision, concentration and/or sleep disturbances after a motor vehicle collision, it is highly likely that you are suffering from whiplash. Chiropractic care is uniquely effective in relieving the pain and symptoms, but also rehabilitating and healing this neck injury so you can get back to pain-free living without painkilling drugs.

During your first appointment, our chiropractic physicians will examine you to determine the extent of the injury and diagnose any spinal injuries that may have occurred, and any soft-tissue strains that are causing pain and may be a disruption to your life.

NECK AND BACK FACT:

Chiropractic care frees pinched nerves, making it a highly effective neck and back pain treatment that also relieves headaches, fatigue, and other symptoms.
